Dr. Maswood Akhter is Professor at the Department of English, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. He chaired the Department from 2016 to 2018. A recipient of UGC Award 2011 in the category of best research paper in Arts & Humanities, Dr. Akhter was also a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence during 2018-2019. His writings appeared in journals like Spectrum, Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, The Sri Lanka Journal of Humanities, Asiatic: IIUM Journal of English Language and Literature, South Asian Review, etc. One of his recent publications includes a book chapter in Postcolonial Urban Outcasts: City Margins in South Asian Literature (Routledge, 2017). He has also edited/co-edited two volumes of essays-- Musings Post Colonies (2012); Literature, History and Culture: Writings in Honour of Professor Aali Areefur Rehman (2014). He is Co-Editor of Praxis, a peer-reviewed journal published annually by his Department.

Saugata Bhaduri is Professor at the Centre for English Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. His areas of research interest include the cultural history of colonial Bengal, literary and cultural theory, popular culture, and translation and comparative literature studies. His latest books are Polycoloniality: European Transactions with Bengal from the 13th to the 19^th Century (Bloomsbury 2020) and the forthcoming A Critical History of Bengali Literature (Orient Blackswan 2021). His earlier books include Transcultural Negotiations of Gender: Studies in (Be)Longing (Springer 2015), Literary Theory: An Introductory Reader (Anthem 2010), Perspectives on Comparative Literature and Culture in the Age of Globalization (Anthem 2010), Negotiating Glocalization (Anthem 2008), and Translating Power (Katha 2008). Having served as Visiting Professor at several universities in Europe, UK, and the USA, he has also visited and lectured in Bangladesh upon the invitations of Rajshahi University, Independent University, and Notre Dame University.

Dr. Tapati Gupta,theatre scholar, art critic and translator, was Professor, Department of English, University of Calcutta. She is still associated with the department as a research guide.. Her areas of specialization are Shakespeare, literature and the visual arts, drama, and intercultural theatre. She was awarded grants-in-aid by the Charles Wallace India Trust for post-doctoral research  in Britain. Her investigation was related to visual culture in Renaissance England with Special Reference to Elizabethan and Jacobean drama.Her publications include translations and critical articles on literature and visual culture. Her co-edited and edited books include Tagore and Modernity (Kolkata: Das Gupta & Co., 2006), The Other Voice (Anustup, Kolkata) and Bankimchandra’s Bangadarshan: Selected Essays in Translation (Kolkata: Das Gupta & Co., 2007), Contemporary Indian Theatre, (Rawat, Jaipur ) with  critical introduction. Gupta was member of the international group researching on ‘Ibsen Between Cultures,’ under the auspices of the Ibsen Centre, University of Oslo, where she has been a guest professor. She is a member of the Asian Theatre Working Group of the International Federation of Theatre Research. Her publications include an article, “From Proscenium to Paddy Fields: Utpal Dutt’s Shakespeare Jatra.” In Re-playing Shakespeare in Asia ed. She is currently preparing a book on contemporary Bengali drama.

Fayeza Hasanat teaches at the English Department of the University of Central Florida. She had also taught at the English department of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. A Fulbright Scholar, she completed her MA and PhD from the University of Florida. She is an academic, author, and translator. She has published academic articles and short stories in national and international literary journals and anthologies. Her publication list includes Nawab Faizunnesa’s Rupjalal: Translation and Commentary (Brill Publishers, 2009). A War Heroine I Speak, a translation of Neelima Ibrahim’s Ami Birangana Bolchi (Bangla Academy, 2017). Her short stories have been anthologized both at home and abroad. Her debut short story collection The Bird Catcher and Other stories (2018) was simultaneously published from the US and Bangladesh. M. Shahadat Hossain, a graduate of English Literature from Dhaka University, went on to study Business and has taught Marketing at Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada and SUNY Potsdam, NY, USA for 15 years. He has also taught at Clarkson University as an Adjunct faculty member. His research has been published in academic journals and conference proceedings. He is also a recipient of the Title III grant from the US Department of Education. His work in the service industry has earned him an Outstanding Research award. Shahadat has spent years working in various English dailies and weeklies as part of the editing team. He is a Business and Marketing consultant. 

Begum Shahnaz Sinha is professor at the department of English, University of Dhaka. She has an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and ELT from Dhaka University, Bangladesh and an M.A. in ELT from University of Warwick, UK. She is one the writers of Making Connections: Responding to Literature (2004), a student book for First Year in the Department of English and has co-edited another student book, Exploring Academic Writing (2016). Her areas of interest are Materials Development, syllabus design and Teacher Education.

Kwok-kan Tam is Chair Professor of English and Dean of Humanities and Social Science at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. He is former Head and current member of the International Ibsen Committee, University of Oslo and Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities. He received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His recent publications include the following monographs: Ibsen, Power and the Self: Postsocialist Chinese Experimentations in Stage Performance and Film (2019); Chinese Ibsenism: Reinventions of Women, Class and Nation (2019); and The Englishized Subject: Postcolonial Writings in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia (2019).
