I would like to extend a very warm welcome to everyone to LitWrite Bangladesh, the first blind peer-reviewed online journal in English being published from Bangladesh. We are overwhelmed with the amount of response that our inaugural issue generated. We received submissions from countries across the globe including Australia, India, USA, and Bangladesh, making it a truly international platform. We thank you all for your interest in LitWrite Bangladesh. As we present our inaugural issue, I would like to thank all our authors for their contributions which have enabled us to start our journey. I thank every one of our contributors including those whose contributions we could not publish as we adhered strictly to the principles of blind review for the sake of quality.
Thanks to all the editors on board, who have made the process smoother with their constructive feedback on all the submissions, ensuring quality of pieces being published. Finally, I thank all members of our excellent support team, including the coordinator and the IT and design specialists, and our publisher for the untiring work they put in to make this publication happen. It’s my pleasure to announce that the next issue of the journal will be published in June 2022. Please submit your work on or before 31 March 2022.
2021 marks the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s glorious independence. This year is also the birth centenary of the Father of the Bengali nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of Bangladesh. LitWrite Bangladesh takes this opportunity to congratulate all proud Bengalis who celebrate their 50th anniversary of victory on 16 December.
Stay with literature, stay with LitWrite Bangladesh.
